These terms cover your use of our modules and your subscription through Patreon.
Your subscription is with Grimmtale Studios LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. Patreon, Inc. takes your payment, collects any tax and handles cancellation. Patreon's terms apply to your Patreon membership. We are responsible for the modules and for these terms.
GS: Spectator and GS: Library are free. Join the free tier on Patreon and then our Discord server to get the install links. The Page Turner tier adds GS: Quality of Life and every subscriber module we release while you are a member. Foundry VTT installs GS: Library for you as a dependency. The higher tiers are a way to support us more. They do not add any modules. Their extras, such as supporter credits, early builds and priority support, are described on Patreon. Install links arrive as a Patreon message and on Discord within 24 hours.
Prices are set on Patreon in US dollars, with separate sterling prices for the UK. Any price shown on our site is only a guide. You pay the price shown at Patreon's checkout. Patreon adds VAT or sales tax where the law requires it.
Your membership renews monthly on your Patreon billing date until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Patreon's membership settings. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Within 14 days, you can get a full refund if nothing has been downloaded. After that, we refund your first month if you ask. Beyond the first month, we give refunds where your statutory rights require them.
To ask for a refund, use your Patreon billing history or email us. We approve refunds in Patreon's dashboard. One of us checks it weekly. Patreon closes a request 75 days after the payment, so ask well before then.
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you can cancel a distance contract for digital content within 14 days. That right ends once you start downloading with your consent. We cannot see what you agreed to at Patreon's checkout, so we apply the simpler rule under Refunds. Within 14 days, you can get a full refund if nothing has been downloaded.
If you are a consumer in the UK, the modules must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a price reduction. Nothing in these terms or in the licence takes these rights away. Consumers in the EU and elsewhere keep every right that their law does not allow us to exclude.
Your use of the modules is governed by our Module licence, which is part of these terms. You can keep using any version you have downloaded. New releases of the subscriber modules need a current subscription.
Each subscriber-module link allows 5 downloads per release. The allowance does not apply to the free modules. Update checks and link previews do not count towards your allowance. Your key is personal. Sharing a link uses up your allowance. We may revoke a key whose link is being passed around. If you run out honestly, ask us and we will reset your allowance at no charge.
Installed versions keep working, but you stop receiving new releases. If you resubscribe, you pick up where you left off.
While you are a member, updates come from your install link. Anything we say about future releases is a plan, not a promise. If we retire a module, we give 3 months' notice on Patreon and Discord, and the versions you have installed keep working.
We give support on Discord and by email at tech@grimmtalestudios.com. We reply within 3 working days. We do our best for everyone, but we do not promise a response time or uptime beyond that.
Do not get around or disable a subscription check, a key or the download allowance, or help anyone else to do so. Do not redistribute the modules. We may suspend or revoke a key used that way.
Our About page explains how we use AI and how we do not.
You must be 18 or over, as Patreon requires.
Our liability to you for anything arising from the modules or these terms is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. That limit does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything the law does not let us limit, including the consumer rights above.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Arizona, United States. Any dispute is settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, nothing here removes any statutory right that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Talk to us first. We can fix most problems by email.
We may change these terms. We announce any change on Patreon and Discord, and it takes effect 30 days later. If you keep your membership after that, you accept the change. If you do not want to accept it, cancel before it takes effect.
Email us at tech@grimmtalestudios.com. Our Legal page explains how to make a complaint and how quickly we respond.
