Foundry VTT modules for GMs, from a two-person studio. Grimmtale Studios LLC.
Grimmtale Studios is an independent studio founded and co-owned by two lifelong friends brothers. Between us, we have over 15 years of professional software development experience so when we began to run into problems at our own table we put our expertise to work creating Foundry VTT modules for our personal use. Somewhere along the way, building those modules became a passion of its own, and Grimmtale Studios was created. Now we've begun to share the same modules we made for ourselves, polishing them for you to use at your table.
We create Foundry VTT modules focused on making games easier to run, more immersive to play, and more enjoyable for everyone at the table. That includes everything from small quality of life improvements to larger tools for downtime, crafting, spectators, interaction, movement, and other parts of the game that we think could be made better. We're also committed to continuing to support our users by using community feedback to decide on new projects and by keeping our modules up to date.
We're professional developers, and we approach and manage our work as Grimmtale Studios with the same level of care that we have in our day jobs. The majority of our work is done in a cyclical process where we build, break, and refine our modules, testing our work not only at a development level but also at our own table. With the growing popularity of AI we think it's your right as the consumer to know that we make limited use of AI as a supporting tool for basic development assistance. We do not partake in and are heavily against "vibecoding", and the production / use of AI agents for programming that isn't backed behind a strong professional grade understanding of the work. We also keep our module code open source. You don't just have to take our word for how we build our modules, you can even take a look under the hood yourself.
The studio is Grimmtale Studios LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, formed in 2026. We do not publish a postal address. Email reaches both founders. The Legal page has the rest: complaints, accessibility, trademarks and how to report a security problem.
